Electrical equipment that is placed on the EU market from the 1st July 2006 will be presumed to comply with the requirements of the RoHS Directive. Producers will need to be confident that there are no banned substances within any of their products that are covered by the RoHS Directive. It would be unreasonable to expect producers to analyze each materials, components, assemblies and equipment, as this would be prohibitively expensive and time-consuming. The “Verification Report Service” SGS offers through necessary tests and assistant verification methods makes sure whether an EEE compliances with RoHS Directive and gives the final conclusions.

By this service, manufactures are able to check the common chemical test reports that the suppliers offer them and reduce their own risk. This will not only help them to make their documents about compliance of products very simple, but also reduce their cost and time for preparing these documents. Of course, the relevant human resource, system resource will be saved and repeated tests will be avoided. By using SGS’s Verification Report, merchants or buyers’ confidence will be strengthened.
