RoHS & New Restricted Substance Testing Service

EU Parliament and European Council announced the directive of Waste of Electrical and Electronic Equipments (WEEE) and Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) on 27^th January 2003. Although the directives are just effective in EU, its impact on mass production for the international trade has raised awareness globally for a green revolution in the EE industry. RoHS compliance solution has expanded from chemical testing to inspection, process audit, product certification and Eco-design training. At the same time, China, Japan, Korea and US have also established their own Green regulation.

Since the adoption of several Green regulations, many international buyers are raising their awareness on the importance of environmental protection. Industries should not only concentrate on existing regulations but also keep an eye on other hazardous substances that would possibly be regulated in the future.
