Oct 2009 | SGS Held a 2-day EICC Inhouse Training for Lite-On On 9 - 10 Oct 2009, SGS successfully held a 2-day EICC training for Lite-On Technology Corporation. The training course took place at Dongguan Changan Lite-On in China. It was delivered by SGS senior auditors and experienced tutors, Mr. Peter Liang and Mr. Benny Lee. Management and relevant staff members from different regions of Lite-On participated to understand the EICC code of conduct which is well adopted nowadays in the electrical and electronic industry. SGS is one of the EICC accredited audit firms with rich experience in providing training of social responsibility, environment, health and safety. SGS clearly understand the EICC code of conduct and the electrical and electronic best practices and how to solve the problems encountered by enterprises. This training helped the Lite-On participants understand the best practices in the industry in China. By complying with the EICC code of conduct, Lite-On and their suppliers can enhance the efficiency and the productivity of the enterprises, improve workers’ working conditions and facilitate the economic development and environmental protection in the area concerned. |

Aug 12, 2009 | SGS Holds Material Composition Analysis Seminar in Shanghai SGS, together with the Shanghai Institute of Ceramics Chinese Academy of Science (SICCAX), held a seminar on material composition analysis at the Holiday Inn on August 10, 2009. Zhan Hongjun, Senior Engineer for SGS Materials Laboratory presented about the analysis of polymer while Dr. Wang Zheng from SICCAX presented on the analysis of inorganic materials. Wang Zhengxi, a renowned professor specializing in infrared analysis, also attended the seminar and addressed the questions and issues raised by the participants. Over 120 people attended the seminar and many found the professor’s talk on product technology and quality control very helpful especially in terms of practical application. |
